As your local MP I run regular community meetings to foster a healthy discussion about public affairs in our community. Over the years I’ve hosted dozens of speakers who’ve enlightened and entertained us with a very wide range of views from mayors to health specialists.

I have invited the Chief Executive of Consumer New Zealand, Jon Duffy to make a presentation on his work in fighting for consumers. This will be the last event until February 2025

Jon will talk about the organisation’s history, test, research and advocacy work. He will also give an overview of your consumer rights and how to use them.

He has made a career of fighting for consumers.

Jon was previously the Assistant Privacy Commissioner, Head of Trust & Safety at Trade Me and worked as a Senior Investigator at the Commerce Commission.
