Gary holds a joint appointment at the University of Auckland and Health New Zealand. He was awarded the 2021 Alzheimer’s New Zealand Fellowship for his contribution to psychosocial dementia research and co-leads the research and implementation of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy in NZ - an evidence-based group intervention for people with dementia.
