Street Corner Meetings | Remuera East
Street Corner Meetings are an old-fashioned form of local democracy. If you haven't been to one before, they are an opportunity to share your concerns with me as your local MP.
The format is simple. For a few minutes I explain how I'm seeking to represent you, then open up to your questions, comments, and ideas. Each meeting takes about 25 minutes before I move to a new corner.
As the Parliamentary term nears its half-way mark, I'll be grateful to hear how you think the government is doing. What do you support, where would you like us to take a different tack? From past experience, I know people will share concerns I need to hear, often for the first time.
One thing that I've been really heartened by is the number of students and young people coming out to participate in Street Corner Meetings. These meetings are for everyone in the Epsom Electorate. The dates, times, and locations are below, so please get involved.
